64bitホストに32bitのCentosをインストールしようとしたら「unable to – please use a kernel approriate for your cpu」で起動しない

バーチャルボックスでホスト64ビットマシンで仮想マシン（32ビット）のCentosをインストールしようとしたら「unable to – please use a kernel approriate for your cpu」と表示されインストール画面までたどり着けない。
